Marcus Felder

Marcus Felder is a Vice President in Portfolio Operations at Blackstone. He leads strategic hiring initiatives with Blackstone’s portfolio companies, including Career Pathways, which works with the companies to adopt inclusive practices that will attract talent from traditionally untapped communities (e.g., alumni of HBCUs and HSIs, people without college degrees, veterans, etc.). Prior to joining Blackstone in 2020, Marcus worked at the Posse Foundation, initially with the Posse New York office and then with the Posse Veterans Program. His experience included oversight of the highly selective scholarship selection process and relationship development and management with top-tier United States colleges/universities, non-profit organizations, military installations, veteran service organizations, and industry-leading companies and organizations. Before joining Posse, Marcus focused on peer mentoring programs as a founding staff member of the City University of New York Stella and Charles Guttman Community College and he also worked in the University Office of K-16 Initiatives, where he was involved with the development and oversight of college access, success, and transition programs for NYC public high school and CUNY community college students. Marcus received an SB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MPA from Syracuse University, and an MSEd from Baruch College.
