Gus Biggio
Gus Biggio is a Marine veteran and commercial lawyer who has lived and worked in the US and overseas, and currently balances his work schedule between Washington DC and Geneva, Switzerland.
He has worked in a variety of legal and professional roles. Immediately after law school, he was the legal counsel for Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-OH), then spent time working for an investment bank in New York City. He worked for several major international law firms, focusing on corporate transactional projects, before moving to Dubai to lead an entrepreneurial venture with a focus on new technology projects in the Middle East/North Africa region. He is currently part of the in-house legal team of a global strategic consulting firm, where he keeps the firm focused on its business objectives while protecting its legal interests.
He attended Denison University, Case Western University Law School, and Georgetown Law Center. Before attending law school, he served for nearly five years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps, and spent time in the reserves, which included a tour to Afghanistan in 2009.
In addition to his corporate work, Gus has supported various pro-bono organizations focused on veterans’ issues and environmental sustainment initiatives. He is a frequent author of editorials that have appeared in The Washington Post and The Cleveland Plain Dealer, among others. He joined the board of The Initiative in February 2021
